Twilio is a remote-first communications platform company serving hundreds of thousands of businesses and millions of developers worldwide. This role is on Twilio's Strategic team within the Solutions Engineering organization.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Account Executives on pre-sales activities including opportunity qualification, demonstrations, Proof-of-Concept, RFP, design documentation, technical presentations and enablement sessions.
  • Lead the technical and product sale, recommending best-practice solutions and guiding customers on using Twilio's APIs.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by leading technical discovery to design, demonstrate, and present innovative solutions that solve business challenges.
  • Build and present highly interactive, complex customer product demonstrations showcasing Twilio's Communications Products.
  • Participate in verticalization efforts for Twilio's Regulated Verticals team.
  • Mentor less experienced Solutions Engineers and contribute to the broader Solutions Engineering community through knowledge sharing and reusable materials.

Qualifications

Required: 8+ years pre-sales experience selling complex technical products, or 10+ years of professional experience supporting technical products with customer-facing experience; excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to build deep understanding of customer communications needs; previous software development experience or working knowledge of Telecom, SIP, Contact Center, or Security; experience with sales methodologies; Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.

Desired: Familiarity with cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and cloud application architecture.

Compensation & Benefits

Estimated pay ranges by location: $138,872-$173,590 (Colorado, Hawaii, Minnesota, Vermont); $146,592-$183,240 (Washington D.C., Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, California outside SF Bay Area); $154,304-$192,880 (New York, New Jersey, Washington State, SF Bay Area). This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan and to earn commissions. Benefits include health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, and paid parental leave.

Location & Application

This role is remote but not eligible to be hired in CT, NJ, NY, WA, PA or the surrounding areas of San Francisco, CA, Oakland, CA, or San Jose, CA. Approximately 25% travel is anticipated. Applications for this role are intended to be accepted until September 21, 2026.
