About the Role

Databricks, the Data and AI company, seeks a Principal Product Marketing Manager to own product marketing for its AI Governance portfolio, including Unity AI Gateway. Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Marketing, you will define and execute marketing strategies that drive trusted AI adoption, enable sales and partners, generate pipeline for AI products, and drive developer adoption of AI. Partnering closely with product, sales, and marketing teams, you will translate product innovation into clear market narratives around AI governance (e.g., access control, monitoring, policy enforcement), compelling customer content, targeted campaigns, and impactful product launches.

Impact

  • Own the marketing strategy and planning for AI governance products.
  • Build and land collateral for key channels across sales, partner, and demand generation, including content campaigns and events that highlight AI governance, compliance, and observability capabilities.
  • Create an always-on go-to-market plan and pilot new programs with a strong focus on winning AI governance mindshare, driving pipeline, and adoption of governed AI usage.
  • Build a strong and collaborative partnership with product and engineering teams to launch new products.
  • Increase global reach by working with field marketing, industry, events, and partner organizations to help scale the business globally.
  • Build trust with customers and share their agentic AI customer stories, emphasizing governance, risk mitigation, and production readiness.

What We Look For

  • 8+ years of technical product marketing experience in an enterprise software company.
  • Experience with AI/machine learning technologies.
  • Strong understanding of AI, security, and governance decision makers and builders (developers, ML engineers, platform teams), and experience building content around governed AI platforms and policy-driven controls.
  • Portfolio of impactful marketing content, sales enablement materials, and always-on GTM.
  • Experience presenting at conferences and customer engagements, including topics related to AI governance, risk, and enterprise adoption.
  • Preferred: BS in Computer Science or Engineering, coupled with MBA.

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents the expected base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks anticipated utilizing the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.

  • Zone 1 Pay Range: $193,500—$266,100 USD
  • Zone 2 Pay Range: $174,200—$239,450 USD
  • Zone 3 Pay Range: $164,500—$226,150 USD
  • Zone 4 Pay Range: $154,800—$212,850 USD
