Role
Support Brex’s Private Equity channel across business development and value creation. Build targeted outbound campaigns to generate top-of-funnel meetings and qualified pipeline, prepare for and follow up on partner conversations through data analysis, case studies, and portfolio company insights. Work closely with the Private Equity lead, Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, and data partners, with the opportunity to manage your own book of PE partners over time.
Responsibilities
- Build and execute weekly outbound campaigns to private equity firms, including target account identification, contact research, email copy, and multi-touch sequences.
- Generate top-of-funnel meetings and qualified pipeline through thoughtful outreach and follow-up.
- Support PE partner meetings by pulling data from Hex, analyzing portfolio company activity in Excel, and creating case studies and materials in Google Slides.
- Partner with Account Executives on live PE-backed opportunities and collaborate with Customer Success on value-creation opportunities.
- Track campaign and partner performance, surface market insights, and propose new segments or outreach strategies.
Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in an SDR/BDR, Customer Success, PE sourcing or associate, or other client-facing business development role.
- Experience building outbound prospecting campaigns, researching target contacts, writing email sequences, and setting meetings; quota-carrying experience is a plus.
- Strong commercial judgment and presence, with the ability to communicate credibly with senior finance and operating executives.
- Proficiency in Excel and comfort pulling, interpreting, and organizing data from tools such as Hex or similar analytics platforms.
- Ability to translate data into clear case studies, insights, and presentations using Google Slides or PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong prioritization, organization, and follow-through in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; a finance, economics, business, or related background is a plus.
Compensation
The expected OTE range for this role is $103,960 - $129,950. The starting wage depends on location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. OTE includes base salary and commissions, which may or may not be earned depending on performance. Equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
