About the Role

As an Associate Product Designer at Databricks, you will join a team focused on understanding and solving customers' most challenging problems. You will learn to be a successful product designer at a high-growth enterprise technology company operating at the intersection of data and AI. As part of the 2027 APD cohort, you will have a dedicated manager and mentor, and connect with product managers, engineers, designers, researchers, account teams, and leaders across the company.

Impact

  • Work with a cross-functional team to build features for the Databricks platform.
  • Manage projects end-to-end, from discovery and ideation through final design prototype for engineering implementation.
  • Work with engineers and designers to ship features on the Databricks platform.
  • Conduct research with customers to better understand their needs and improve designs.

What We Look For

  • Graduation in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 with a bachelor's or master's degree in HCI or related design practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tooling in the design process without sacrificing craft.
  • Good judgment in visual hierarchy, layout, and information architecture.
  • First-hand experience with SQL and/or Python.
  • Hands-on, learn-by-doing approach; happy to build, test, and iterate.
  • Analytical skills to make data-driven decisions (e.g., analyzing product usage, conducting user experience research).
  • Ability to make complex topics simple and communicate design perspective to partners in written and verbal form.
  • Excited to solve ambiguous problems with a collaborative team.
  • Curiosity and continuous learning.

Compensation & Benefits

Local Pay Range: $128,000—$140,000 USD. Total compensation may include annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits. Databricks offers comprehensive benefits and perks; specific details vary by region.
