Product Design Intern

As a Product Design Intern at Databricks, you will join a team that works diligently to understand and solve customers' most challenging problems. You will learn how to be a successful product designer at a high-growth enterprise technology company operating at the intersection of data and AI. You will have a dedicated mentor and join the 2026 intern cohort, connecting with product managers, engineers, designers, account teams, other interns, and leaders across the company. This is a 12-week paid summer internship program.

• Work with a cross-functional team to build features for the Databricks platform.
• Manage your project end-to-end, from discovery and ideation through final design prototype for engineering to implement.
• Conduct research with customers to better understand their needs and improve your design.

• Pursuing a degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Excellent interaction design skills with knowledge of user-centered design methodologies and usability.
• Proven ability to efficiently build interactive prototypes leveraging the latest in AI tooling.
• Analytical skills to make data-driven decisions (e.g., analyze product usage) and conduct basic usability testing and semi-structured interviews.
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to make complex topics simple and clearly communicate nuance to partners (engineers, customers, field, etc.) in both written and verbal form.
• Excited to solve ambiguous problems with a collaborative team.

Pay range transparency: The pay range for this role is listed below and represents the expected salary range for non-commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. The total compensation package may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. Bellevue, Washington Hourly Rate: $34—$42 USD
