Staff Product Designer, Discovery

Patreon is a media and community platform where over 300,000 creators give their biggest fans access to exclusive work and experiences. The platform offers paid memberships, free memberships, community chats, live video, and one-time purchases. Patreon has generated $10 billion+ for creators, with 100 million+ free memberships and 25 million+ paid memberships.

We are hiring a Staff Product Designer to join our Discovery and Community team. You will help define how fans find creators and communities, shape how creator work is surfaced, and explore new content formats. You will partner with Product, Engineering, and Research to bring clarity to ambiguous problems and ship polished experiences.

• Proactively discover company-level opportunities and bring clarity through high-fidelity prototypes and expert storytelling.
• Work with Research, Product, and Engineering to plan, scope, and execute end-to-end design solutions.
• Develop innovative patterns and systems that are durable and achieve a high standard of craft.
• Create and iterate on prototypes, high-fidelity visuals, and key flows.
• Contribute to the visioning and execution of a multi-phased product overhaul.
• Own and ship key parts of the core Patreon product.

• 8–12 years of product design experience or equivalent depth demonstrated through portfolio complexity and systems-level thinking.
• A portfolio of shipped work showing ownership from idea to outcome with measurable impact.
• Experience leading multiple concurrent work streams and setting milestones with cross-functional partners.
• Experience facilitating problem-framing and alignment using frameworks, prototypes, research synthesis, and workshops.
• A craft champion who sets a high quality bar and elevates team standards.
• Team-first approach and ability to operate as a strategic peer.
