About the role
As a Product Manager for the Research team, you will own the ideation and deployment of new models and products, working closely with research teams to productize applied research and identify high-potential use cases grounded in customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution of frontier technologies leveraging the latest AI capabilities
- Partner with research to define, improve, and ship model capabilities within a research area
- Identify nascent research that could become transformative products
- Synthesize user insights into actionable requirements and evaluations
- Understand the AI landscape and ecosystem, maintaining an objective view of market capabilities and position
- Work with and influence stakeholders across research, product engineering, and platform engineering
Minimum Qualifications
- Deep passion and curiosity for AI and LLMs; regular use of AI
- First-principles thinker able to navigate ambiguity and execute, finding simple solutions
- Deep technical background with strong grasp of AI/ML concepts; data-driven mindset with working proficiency in Python and SQL
- Strong user empathy and ability to synthesize vague or contradictory feedback into actionable priorities
- Track record of launching ambitious products that achieved distribution or commercial success
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years in product management, with experience launching new products and scaling existing ones (founder background a plus)
Compensation
Annual Salary: $305,000—$385,000 USD
Logistics
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
- Location-based hybrid policy: all staff expected in one of our offices at least 25% of the time; some roles may require more
- Visa sponsorship: Anthropic sponsors visas and will make every reasonable effort for offered candidates
