About the job
About the Role
Snowflake is seeking a Product Manager to define the product vision and roadmap for internal traffic management, service-to-service networking, customer connectivity, and performance optimization across multi-cloud environments. This role is central to supporting AI-driven products, including latency-sensitive inference, large-scale model training pipelines, vector search, streaming ingestion, and cross-region data movement.
Responsibilities
- Define networking strategy for AI products, including low-latency inference paths, high-throughput data pipelines, GPU-adjacent services, and elastic scaling.
- Partner with AI platform, compute, and storage teams to meet performance, isolation, and reliability needs.
- Drive architectural decisions around traffic engineering, load balancing, service mesh, routing, and failure handling.
- Prioritize innovations to improve tail latency, throughput, and cost efficiency.
- Define customer-facing networking capabilities for secure, high-performance AI workloads.
- Improve observability and diagnostics for network performance.
- Collaborate with security teams on isolation, encryption, access control, and zero-trust architectures.
- Lead cross-functional execution and communicate roadmap to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of product management experience in infrastructure, networking, distributed systems, or cloud platforms.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, routing, service mesh, private link, multi-cloud connectivity.
- Experience with latency-sensitive or high-throughput workloads (AI inference, streaming, real-time systems).
- Ability to collaborate with engineers on architectural design and performance optimization.
- Customer-first mindset and excellent communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Bonus Points
- Experience with AI/ML platforms, inference services, model serving, or GPU-accelerated workloads.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, private connectivity, and cross-region architectures.
- Experience with service mesh technologies (Envoy, Istio), traffic shaping, or network observability.
- Background in zero-trust networking models.
Compensation
Salary range: $160,000 - $230,000 USD.
