QA Engineer - Core Database (remote)

ClickHouse is a real-time analytics, data warehousing, observability, and AI workloads platform, recognized on the 2025 Forbes Cloud 100 list with 4,000+ customers and a $400M Series D. The Core Engineering team works on the open-source project and Cloud service.

We are seeking a Senior Software Quality Engineer to improve the efficiency and quality of both open-source and cloud offerings, building automation of critical operational functions.

• Build and enhance test automation frameworks and develop automated test cases.
• Test new features and ensure they land smoothly in Production.
• Test cross-functional implementations across internal teams.
• Implement new testing strategies and automation for large and complex distributed systems.
• Evaluate new functionality for each release and identify opportunities for improvement in the existing codebase.
• Engineer and improve existing testing infrastructure.

• Extensive knowledge of SQL.
• Experience in a similar SDET, Release Engineering, or QA role related to a classical database or distributed system.
• Hands-on experience with any programming language (Python, Go, C++).
• Ability to read C++ code for validation.
• Working knowledge of Git, Linux, and shell scripting.
• Experience with both manual testing and automation testing.
• Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and production debugging skills.

Compensation: $141,000—$208,000 USD (US); $157,000—$230,000 USD (US Premium Markets such as the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City Metro Area).
