Quantitative Analytics Manager, Affirm Bank Model Governance

Join the Bank Model Risk Management (MRM) team to establish, maintain, and oversee an effective MRM framework. You will work cross-functionally to understand models that drive critical business decisions and mitigate risks from ineffective model design or misuse.

• Conduct rigorous, independent validations of credit/fraud models, including machine learning and traditional statistical models, focusing on conceptual soundness, data integrity, and performance stability.
• Develop automated monitoring suites in Python to track KRI/KPI drift, population stability (PSI), and feature importance shifts.
• Partner with first-line model developers to remediate validation findings.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit, Internal Controls, and Compliance to resolve audit and regulatory requests.
• Support the build-out of the Bank Model Risk Management function and model validation requirements for Bank-owned models.

• 7+ years of professional experience in credit/fraud/financial risk modeling, model validation, or quantitative analytics.
• Deep understanding of the consumer credit lifecycle and fraud detection.
• Technical familiarity with loss forecasting, fraud prediction, and stress-testing frameworks.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels) for replicative modeling and backtesting.
• Mastery of SQL for wrangling large-scale datasets and performing data lineage audits.
• Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills.

Base pay range: $220,000 - $280,000 (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT); $195,000 - $255,000 (all other U.S. states). Total compensation may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness, and tech spending, and benefits including 100% subsidized medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents.
