Resident Solution Architect

Fivetran and dbt Labs are joining forces to deliver a comprehensive data infrastructure layer. We are seeking an experienced Resident Solution Architect (RSA) to join our Professional Services team. RSAs are billable to dbt Platform Enterprise customers and help empower data developers to create and disseminate organizational knowledge. This role is remote within the United States, with approximately 10% travel for customer visits and company events.

• Work on a variety of impactful customer technical projects, including implementation, troubleshooting configurations, instilling best practices, and solutioning MVPs and long-term solutions.
• Consult on architecture and design.
• Ensure our most strategic dbt platform customers are adopting the product.
• Collaborate with internal customer-facing teams at dbt Labs (Sales, Solution Architects, Training, Support).
• Provide critical feedback to product and engineering teams to improve and prioritize customer requests.
• Become a product expert with dbt in the context of the modern data stack.

• Deep experience working with enterprise customers across a variety of use cases, ideally in a customer-facing post-sales, technical architect, or consulting role.
• Deep expertise in at least one data platform (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift).
• At least 2 years of experience with dbt, ideally including 1 year with dbt platform.
• Proficient in writing SQL and some Python experience.
• Highly organized with comfort in technical project delivery, managing scope, timelines, and deliverables.
• Clear and concise communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Thrive in a remote organization that values transparency and cross-collaboration.

• dbt Analytics Engineering Certification.
• Ability to advise on dbt Platform recommendations and build consensus.
• Experience with traditional Enterprise ETL tooling (Informatica, Datastage, Talend).

Pay Range: $179,982—$224,978 USD.
