Anthropic is seeking an exceptional engineer to join its Detection Platform team to build and scale next-generation security analytics infrastructure. The role involves architecting and implementing data pipelines for security telemetry, developing ML-powered detection systems, and leveraging Claude to transform security operations.
Responsibilities
- Build AI-powered platform for detection and response capabilities
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines for security telemetry
- Architect solutions for storing and querying large volumes of security data
- Create prototypes for new security tooling
- Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams
- Mentor engineers and contribute to hiring
- Participate in on-call shifts
Qualifications
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with focus on security, infrastructure, or data pipelines
- Experience building internal developer tools or security platforms
- Strong understanding of data processing pipelines and large-scale logging systems
- Experience with test-driven development, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), query optimization, cloud infrastructure, serverless architectures
- Ability to write maintainable and secure code in Python
- Experience working with security teams
- Ability to lead technical projects with minimal guidance
- Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills
Compensation
Annual salary: $320,000—$405,000 USD
Location
Hybrid - New York City, Seattle, San Francisco, or Washington DC, with at least 25% time in office.
