Senior Counsel, Commercial

This remote-first role supports the Go-to-Market Sales team by managing the full life-cycle negotiation of complex enterprise sales deals.

• Take ownership of the review, negotiation, drafting and management of a wide range of legal agreements.
• Advise internal clients on contract interpretation and negotiation.
• Ensure compliance policies are in practice and protect the company from risk.
• Evaluate and prioritize matters requiring attention.

• J.D. with strong academic credentials and demonstrated record of success as a lawyer.
• Member of local State Bar or eligible to register as Registered In-House Counsel.
• 6+ years of commercial transactions experience with at least 4 years negotiating complex technology transactions (e.g., SaaS).
• Experience supporting a large sales organization.
• Ability to structure, draft and negotiate a high volume of commercial contracts, including MSAs, PSAs, NDAs.
• Proven ability to provide pragmatic, business-oriented advice balancing legal risk and business reward.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to triage a heavy workflow and deliver results efficiently.

This role will be remote and based in Ontario, British Columbia or Alberta, Canada. Occasional travel may be required for team or customer meetings.
