Senior Data and AI Specialist

Twilio is a remote-first communications platform company and category leader in Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS). This role is on the Strategy & Operations team within the Industry Relations & Strategic Growth organization. You will use data analysis, scripting, and agentic workflows to improve product quality, fight fraud, reduce billing errors, and optimize gross margins for the global telecommunications network. Responsibilities include architecting, testing, and deploying LLMs and agents to automate unstructured, multi-step data investigations; building automated workflows in Python; performing SQL queries and multi-step data analyses across complex telecommunications datasets; designing dashboards and BI solutions using Tableau, Looker, or Python; defining KPIs; and collaborating with Carrier Relations, Enterprise Technology, Product, Supply Operations, and Finance to translate business needs into data requirements and governance standards. Required qualifications: 5+ years of professional experience in developing technical data and automation solutions; extensive experience with SQL and relational database schemas; extensive experience with Google Sheets (or Excel), Tableau, and/or Looker; experience using Python, APIs, or workflow platforms (e.g., Airtable, Coefficient, Zapier/n8n) to build automated data workflows; experience building agents (e.g., Claude Code, Claude Cowork, OpenAI, Gemini) and training LLM models. Desired: strong communication skills, ability to break down business problems, familiarity with telecom/messaging/voice networks, experience in SaaS/consulting/investment banking, project management experience. The role is remote and based in Ontario, British Columbia, or Alberta, Canada. Occasional travel may be required for project or team in-person meetings.
