Twilio is shaping the future of communications, delivering solutions to hundreds of thousands of businesses. This role is for a Senior Engineering Manager in the Conversational Agents Organization, leading the Agent Implementations team. The team builds and operates AI agents that power Twilio's internal business workflows and enables customer AI agents to securely consume Twilio platform capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering strategy and execution for enabling customer AI agents to consume Twilio platform capabilities.
  • Build and scale systems for AI agents for internal business operations.
  • Collaborate across product, platform, security, and go-to-market teams.
  • Cultivate a high-performing engineering team by hiring, mentoring, and developing managers and engineers.
  • Drive operational excellence with metrics, roadmap planning, reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required: 5+ years hands-on engineering experience writing production-grade code in a modern programming language (language agnostic); 3+ years directly supervising teams of engineers; experience fostering technical excellence; proven track record of shipping products to production; strong customer focus; excellent communication skills; passion for emerging technologies.

Desired: Experience building a product from idea to product-market fit; experience leading development of products/features leveraging LLMs; builder at heart.

Location

Remote - US, not eligible in San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, CA or surrounding areas.

Compensation

Salary ranges vary by location: $207,200-$259,000 for Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont, or Washington D.C.; $219,360-$274,200 for New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California (outside SF Bay Area); $243,680-$304,600 for San Francisco Bay Area. Eligible for equity and corporate bonus plan.
