Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Developer Advocacy

We are hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead the evolution of our Interactive Learning system's recommendation engine into a personalized, continuously improving system driven by real-time product behavior, content metadata, customer context, and experimentation. This is an applied product data science role where you will build, deploy, and operate recommendation models, design experiments, and define the scientific roadmap.

• Evolve the Interactive Learning Plugin's recommendation system with increasingly personalized approaches to candidate selection, ranking, sequencing, and next-best-action recommendations.
• Own a real-time recommendation service, including model training and serving.
• Develop offline, online, and longitudinal measures of recommendation performance.
• Ship incremental improvements using existing data and infrastructure while identifying future needs.
• Partner with software engineers, data analysts, and cross-functional teams to productionize models and integrate them safely.

• Experience building recommendation, ranking, search, matching, propensity, or next-best-action systems.
• Applied model ownership: personally built, validated, monitored, and iterated on models in a product environment.
• Strong product thinking and technical communication.
• Experience with HTTP/gRPC, streaming, Go/TypeScript, and distributed systems.
• Bonus: experience with content/education/learning recommendations, SaaS telemetry, warehouse-scale behavioral data, directed graphs, sequence models, contextual bandits, Grafana, open source, and responsible personalization.

Base compensation range in Spain: EUR 82,988 - EUR 99,586. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset. All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
