Senior Presales Engineer

Twilio is seeking a Senior Presales Engineer (also referred to as Senior Solutions Engineer) to join the Digital Sales Communications team. In this role, you will lead the technical pre-sales relationship, drive technical discovery, propose technical architectures, demonstrate the product, and build customer trust in Twilio's solutions. You will independently run low to mid-complexity opportunities and may lead small to medium technical projects.

• Partner with Account Executives to execute pre-sales activities including opportunity qualification, demonstrations, Proof-of-Concept, RFP, design documentation, technical presentations, and enablement sessions.
• Lead the technical and product sale, recommending best-practice solutions and guiding customers on using Twilio's APIs.
• Establish yourself as a trusted advisor by leading technical discovery and presenting innovative solutions.
• Build and present highly interactive, complex customer product demonstrations.
• Contribute to the broader Solutions Engineering community through knowledge sharing and reusable materials.

• 5+ years pre-sales experience selling complex technical products, or 6+ years professional experience supporting technical products with customer-facing experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate complex topics to multiple audience levels.
• Previous software development experience or working knowledge in one or more technical areas.
• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science) or equivalent practical experience.
• Desired: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and cloud application architecture.
• Desired: Experience in Telecom, SIP, Contact Center, or Security.

Pay ranges vary by location: $109,760 - $137,200 for Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont, or Washington D.C.; $115,840 - $144,800 for New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California (outside SF Bay Area); $121,920 - $152,400 for San Francisco Bay Area. Eligible for equity, corporate bonus, commissions, health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, and paid parental leave.

Remote - US, not eligible in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA. Approximately 10% travel anticipated.
