Senior Product Designer, Benefits

Justworks is seeking a Senior Product Designer to help scale our Benefits experience, contributing to our Benefits team’s mission to provide peace of mind to admins, members, and their families. The Benefits team focuses on supporting businesses that would not otherwise have access to enterprise-level benefits, delivering reliable and compliant access to high-quality health insurance, the ability to save for their financial future, and support during life’s unforeseen events and major milestones.

• Lead design experiences across the entire product development lifecycle, from discovery to conceptualization to delivery and launch.
• Collaborate with other designers, product managers, researchers, marketers, data scientists, and engineers to identify and define design problems.
• Conduct and collaborate on user research, testing, and data analysis to understand user behavior and inform design decisions.
• Validate design decisions through rapid prototyping and experimentation.
• Collaborate closely with engineers to deliver high-quality experiences.
• Help shape our internal design system with consistency and efficiency in mind.
• Help guide and support less-experienced designers contributing to shared efforts.
• Perform other related responsibilities as needed based on department and/or organizational needs.

• 5+ years of professional experience in product design, ideally in B2B SaaS, HR tech, benefits, insurance, or related domains.
• Experience with design for benefits, healthcare, and health/compliance adjacent workspaces.
• Experience designing for complex, content-heavy workflows, preferably in heavily-regulated industries such as healthcare, insurance, benefits, or related domains.
• Experience driving initiatives from discovery through delivery across multiple product areas.
• Experience working as part of a cross-functional team, collaborating fluidly with engineers, product managers, researchers, marketers, data scientists, and others.
• A portfolio of professional (non-speculative) design work for real-world applications; and the ability to present your work in the form of case studies articulating the design problem, your process, and the eventual business impact.
• Attention to detail, and a refined sense of craft in visual design, typography, and brand expression.
• Fluency in Figma and comfort working with design systems.

The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $166,000.00 to $214,000.00 per year. Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
