Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own the full go-to-market strategy for Instacart+, our membership program. You will shape positioning, messaging, and growth from acquisition campaigns to lifecycle strategies, working at the intersection of product, brand, and growth. This role reports to the Director, Consumer Product Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Instacart+ differentiated positioning and messaging across email, push, in-app, and paid channels.
  • Partner with growth and performance marketing teams to develop and test messaging frameworks that convert trial users and lapsed members into subscribers.
  • Bring member insights into roadmap conversations to shape product development.
  • Launch new Instacart+ features with best-in-class GTM plans, owning the brief, messaging, and channel strategy.
  • Develop a compelling point of view on the subscription and loyalty landscape to sharpen strategy.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 4+ years in product marketing; consumer tech experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record owning GTM strategy for a subscription, membership, or loyalty program.
  • Deep fluency in subscription/loyalty marketing mechanics: acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and churn.
  • Ability to synthesize consumer research, behavioral data, and competitive signals into positioning and messaging.
  • Proven ability to influence product roadmaps and bring the voice of the customer into planning.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to VP and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Experience partnering with growth, lifecycle/CRM, creative, and data science teams for multi-channel campaigns.
  • Proficient in using data and A/B testing to develop and iterate on messaging.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience marketing a subscription or loyalty program in a marketplace or two-sided platform context (e.g., retail, food delivery, grocery).
  • Background working on programs with tiered benefits, earn/burn mechanics, or partner integrations.
  • Experience running or partnering on member research, including surveys, focus groups, UXR.
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring PMMs or junior marketers.
  • Familiarity with the grocery or CPG retail marketing landscape.

Compensation & Benefits

Base pay ranges vary by location: CA, NY, CT, NJ: $180,000—$190,000; WA: $173,000—$182,500; OR, DE, ME, MA, MD, NH, RI, VT, DC, PA, VA, CO, TX, IL, HI: $165,000—$174,000; All other states: $150,000—$158,500. Eligible for new hire equity grant and annual refresh grants. Additional benefits are described in the company's benefits offerings.
