Senior Product Security Engineer II

Instacart is transforming the grocery industry through grocery delivery and household goods. The Security Engineering team researches, develops, and conducts offensive security techniques for Instacart's suite of products.

You will be a key member of the Security Engineering team, scaling out the discovery of security defects and anti-patterns to mature the security posture of Instacart product lines.

• Design and conduct offensive security operations/engagements for product and internal tools.
• Deploy and operationalize open-source and commercial security tools that scale and are maintainable long term.
• Collaborate with engineering and product to integrate security testing into the SDLC.
• Share knowledge and mentor team members.

• 7+ years in Security Engineering or Penetration Testing.
• Experience in mobile app penetration testing, AI security testing, or cloud penetration testing.
• Experience with threat modeling, security assessments, and security architecture reviews.
• Knowledge of remediation techniques for application vulnerabilities.

This role is remote. Base pay ranges for US-based candidates: CA/NY/CT/NJ $230,000–$242,500; WA $220,000–$232,000; OR/DE/ME/MA/MD/NH/RI/VT/DC/PA/VA/CO/TX/IL/HI $211,000–$222,500; all other states $192,000–$202,500. Eligible for a new hire equity grant as well as annual refresh grants.
