Senior Software Engineer

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses, enabling companies to accept payments and grow revenue. This Senior Software Engineer role is within the Global Operations department, focusing on the issued cards and financial accounts space.

Responsibilities:

• Lead technical discussions and implement scalable solutions for account management/compliance, onboarding, and fraud prevention (50%)
• Write technical project briefs and workstream roadmaps for banking-as-a-service (5%)
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers (5%)
• Write technical documentation around compliance and fraud (5%)
• Partner with cross-functional teams (5%)
• Participate in on-call rotation (10%)
• Review API and technical designs (20%)

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field plus 3 years of software engineering experience, including 3 years with typed (Java, C++, Scala) or untyped (JavaScript, Ruby, Python) languages, 2 years building end-to-end solutions for fraud/compliance/onboarding in banking-as-a-service, 2 years with databases (MySQL/Postgres/MongoDB), and 5 months with web application development (AWS/Heroku/Google Cloud/Self Hosted).

Salary range: $190,400 - $285,600 per year. Benefits may include equity, company bonus or sales commissions, 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, and wellness stipends. Up to 50% telework permitted. Multiple positions available.
