Senior Software Engineer, Frontend (Marketing and Privacy)

Affirm's Marketing & Privacy Engineering (MPE) team builds trusted, privacy-aware consumer web experiences and measurement systems. As a Senior Software Engineer on MPE, you will shape the architecture, reliability, and evolution of high-traffic consumer web experiences, building instrumentation and integrations that connect to Affirm's growth and measurement systems. You will work across modern web applications, experimentation, Google Tag Manager and server-side GTM integrations, conversion tracking, advertising and marketing APIs, and observability. You will partner with Product, Marketing, Analytics, Data Engineering, and adjacent platform teams.

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team, leading engineers through ambiguity.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on ideation and technical constraints.
• Identify and solve project, process, technology, or business issues.
• Support operations and availability of team artifacts, including on-call efforts.
• Foster a culture of quality and ownership, improving code review and design standards.
• Develop talent on your team through feedback and guidance.

• 4+ years of experience developing and architecting web applications using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
• Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with web instrumentation and marketing technology such as Google Tag Manager (GTM/sGTM), analytics and experimentation platforms, conversion tracking, advertising or marketing APIs, and third-party web integrations.
• Experience designing reliable, performant consumer web systems, understanding consent, cookies, tagging, observability, and data collection.
• Experience defining technical plans for significant features with elegant, simple, extensible design.
• Strong communication skills for global collaboration.

Base pay range: $153,000 - $213,000 CAD per year. Total compensation may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness, and tech spending, and benefits including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental, and vision for you and your dependents. This remote role is open only to candidates residing in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, or Saskatchewan.
