Senior Staff Software Engineer - Security Infrastructure

As a Senior Staff Software Engineer on the Security Infrastructure team, you will define the vision and strategy for security engineering, identifying and closing critical gaps in our infrastructure and services.

• Make Databricks safer for customers by identifying and plugging key gaps in infrastructure and services.
• Attract top talent from across the industry.
• Represent the security engineering discipline throughout the organization, driving a data-driven culture.
• Represent Databricks at academic and industry conferences and events.

• 9+ years of experience in Data Security or related areas, with expertise in two or more of: Cryptography, Kubernetes Security, Web Security, Governance, Privacy, Trust, Safety, Authentication, Identity Management, Access Control, Key Management, Inter-Service Authentication, Secure Application Frameworks, Detection & Response.
• 15+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems with high availability.
• Leadership skills to lead across functional and organizational lines.
• Strong communication skills to explain and evangelize Data Security to senior leaders.
• Bias to action and passion for delivering high-quality solutions.
• MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related fields.

Local Pay Range: $217,200—$288,400 USD. Total compensation may include annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits. Databricks offers comprehensive benefits and perks; details vary by region.
