The Safety Triage & Insights team builds products that help customers review safety events, understand driver risk, and take action, including AI-native development with LLM-powered workflows and agentic systems.
As a Software Engineer II, you will own customer-facing features from concept to production, building scalable, AI-powered solutions. You'll collaborate across Product, Design, and engineering, and work on backend systems, APIs, and web experiences.
Responsibilities
- Independently deliver well-scoped customer-facing features and platform capabilities.
- Build reliable services, APIs, and web experiences.
- Contribute to AI-powered workflows using modern LLM tooling.
- Make thoughtful technical tradeoffs across speed, maintainability, scalability, and customer impact.
- Collaborate across Engineering, Product, Design, ML, and platform teams.
Minimum requirements
- 18 months+ of relevant software engineering experience building, shipping, and operating reliable customer-facing production systems.
- Experience developing features across backend services, APIs, and modern web applications.
- Ability to independently own moderately complex projects.
- Experience writing clean, efficient, maintainable code and reviewing peer code.
- Experience using metrics, logs, tests, or tracing to debug issues.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in AI-native development, including LLMs and workflow automation.
Ideal candidate also has
- Experience building and scaling customer-facing AI/LLM-powered products.
- Experience with Go, GraphQL, TypeScript, React, and AWS.
- Familiarity with observability, rollout practices, and monitoring.
Compensation: Annual base salary $113,645—$191,000 USD, plus initial RSU grant with no vesting cliff, performance-based bonus/variable pay, and ongoing refresh opportunities.
