Software Engineer II, Fullstack (App Experience)

Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest. The Marketplace and App Experience domain is the main pillar of our core consumer strategy, driving the user journey across all of our frontend surfaces: Mobile and Web. This role will be at the forefront of our front-end facing cross-team projects, working closely with other teams and engineers across our mobile and web technologies.

• Break down larger projects into individual tasks, deliver them in multiple phases, and collaborate with others to ensure timely delivery.
• Support peers and stakeholders in the product development lifecycle by collaborating with product management, design & analytics.
• Support operations and availability of team artifacts by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating when needed, and supporting on-call efforts.
• Contribute to community by engaging in growth and development activities such as participation in the interview process.

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
• Experience shipping mobile apps using native or cross-platform languages like React Native.
• Experience designing, developing and launching APIs at scale using languages like Kotlin or Python.
• Ability to write clear, easily understood, well tested and extensible code.
• Comfortable navigating a large code base, debugging others' code, and providing feedback through code reviews.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Base pay range per year: CAD $133,000 - $183,000. Total compensation may include monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents. Employees may be eligible for equity rewards.
