Software Engineer, Mobile

Replit is the agentic software creation platform that enables anyone to build applications using natural language. With millions of users worldwide, Replit is democratizing software development by removing traditional barriers to application creation.

In this role, you will shape our end-to-end user experience (where users build and publish native mobile applications, and also use the Replit mobile app to build apps), build innovative new features and interactions, and enable anyone with a phone to create software for their phones and assist with our mobile UI/UX. Our mobile app is built with TypeScript, React, React Native, Expo, and Apollo/GraphQL, Swift, and Kotlin.

• Collaborate closely with a team of designers, mobile and UX engineers to streamline the mobile app towards AI-first creation.
• Introduce new features that make creation on mobile easier and faster.
• Improve the quality and observability of the app.
• Proactively identify what our software creators need to make building on mobile delightful.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, including:
• Experience optimizing UI rendering performance
• Experience debugging and deploying iOS or Android apps
• Comfortable or excited to build with React/CSS and React Native.
• Familiar with UI/UX patterns on iOS or Android

• You’ve built and shipped your own apps to the world

Compensation: Base salary range $130K – $300K, plus equity and performance-based bonus.
