About the Role
Reporting to a Director, Field Engineering, the Sr. Manager, Field Engineering will lead a team of Solutions Architects for the Financial Services segment of Databricks' Regulated Industries Field Engineering team. The role focuses on enterprise software, big data/analytics, data engineering, data science, data warehousing, and generative AI, partnering with Sales to increase revenue and drive customer success on the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and grow a team of Solutions Architects
- Maintain a robust hiring pipeline of high-quality candidates
- Establish relationships across the business to ensure customer and team success
- Keep the team ahead of the technical curve with advanced knowledge of the Databricks stack
- Ensure continuous learning and comprehensive customer solutions
Qualifications
- Proven experience building and leading technical pre-sales teams
- 10+ years of experience in the data space with a technical product (data warehousing, big data, machine learning, or generative AI)
- Trusted advisor to technical executives
- Experience with technical qualification, validations, architecture discussions, and product demonstrations
- Strong understanding of consumption-driven business models
- Experience hiring and ramping top talent
- Cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success
- Technical depth to earn trust of engineering leadership
Compensation
Local Pay Range: $192,100—$264,175 USD. Total compensation may include annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
