About the job

Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud, a platform that enables organizations dependent on physical operations to harness IoT data for actionable insights. We help improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability across industries like agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing.

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the Driver Management team, ensuring every trip across hundreds of thousands of commercial vehicles is assigned to the right driver. You will own the platform that powers driver identification and assignment using facial recognition, voice agents, and advanced ML models. This role sits at the intersection of AI, computer vision, and systems thinking.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the product vision, strategy, and north star metric of 100% assignment for the driver management platform.
  • Work directly with customers and drivers to define new ways of making assignment seamless and efficient.
  • Define and optimize solutions that are CV, ML, and voice agent based in collaboration with AI and ML teams.
  • Define success metrics, monitor product performance, and drive a continuous cycle of experimentation and iteration grounded in data and customer feedback.
  • Work with world-class engineering teams to deliver technically complex solutions.
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles.

Minimum requirements:

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record shipping products used by real end users at scale.
  • Strong analytical rigor — decompose big metric problems into segments, root causes, and sequenced solutions.
  • Technical depth sufficient to be a true thought partner to ML engineers on model strategy, confidence thresholds, and system architecture.
  • Track record of shipping with urgency — bias toward action, iterate fast, and let data drive prioritization.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to align cross-functional stakeholders and translate complex technical tradeoffs.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

An ideal candidate also has: MBA preferred; experience with computer vision, facial recognition, or voice/audio products; background in growth, funnel optimization, or marketplace roles; platform product management experience.

Compensation: Annual base salary $116,322—$195,500 USD, plus initial RSU grant with no vesting cliff and ongoing refresh opportunities, and performance-based bonus/variable pay. Benefits include a flexible, employee-led remote model, professional development stipend, comprehensive health and parental leave plans.

This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the United States.
