Sr. Software Engineer

Pinterest is looking for a Senior Full-Stack and Backend Engineer to join its Data and Core Engineering teams in Ireland. You will build backend features for Pinner-facing products, contribute to product development from ideation to release, and work with design, product, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end functionality.

Responsibilities include:

• Build out the backend for Pinner-facing features
• Contribute to and lead each step of the product development process
• Partner with design, product, and backend teams
• Employ automated testing and ensure high technical quality
• Design, develop, and operate large-scale distributed systems
• Leverage AI to improve speed and quality in workflows

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of industry backend development experience
• Proficiency in backend tech stacks for RESTful API, online service, storage, caching, and data processing
• Experience with Python, Java, C++, Go, or another language
• Experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems
• Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve speed and quality
• Bonus: experience with CI/CD, Generative AI/LLMs, Spark/Flink/Big Data, etc.

This role requires in-person collaboration 1-2 times every 6 months and can be based anywhere in Ireland. The position is eligible for equity. Base salary range: €92,223—€161,390 EUR.
