Databricks is the Data and AI company, serving over 20,000 organizations. As a Senior Software Engineer on the IT Infrastructure team, you will own and drive the evolution of core infrastructure and observability platforms, building resilient, scalable, and automated infrastructure on AWS.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy production-grade infrastructure on AWS using Terraform or Pulumi.
- Manage and scale containerized workloads using AKS or EKS.
- Architect CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Drive 'Observable by Default' frameworks for logging and metrics.
- Build internal CLI tools, AI plugins, and automation scripts.
- Collaborate with Security, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Support.
- Mentor junior engineers and document solutions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of production-level experience with strong proficiency in Python.
- Expert-level proficiency in Terraform or Pulumi.
- Hands-on experience with AWS (or Azure/GCP), Kubernetes, Docker.
- Experience with CI/CD using GitHub Actions.
- Strong observability mindset with tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or ELK.
- Proficiency in distributed systems like Kafka.
Compensation
Zone 1 Pay Range: $159,900—$219,900 USD. Total compensation may include annual performance bonus and equity.
