  • Build and maintain integrations between Workday, Greenhouse, Slack, and internal tools using Workday Web Services (WWS) and Slack's API and Bot SDK.
  • Write, version, and maintain automation code in Ruby (or comparable scripting languages) stored in GitLab.
  • Develop and manage Slack apps and bots for automated workflows.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on Workato automation architecture.
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices for People system automation.
  • Leverage AI tools, large language models (LLMs), and Model Context Protocol (MCP) frameworks, including Claude, to accelerate automation development.
  • Provide technical guidance to teammates and stakeholders, partnering with InfoSec, AI Engineering, and IT.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience writing and maintaining code in Ruby or a comparable scripting language (Python, PHP, etc.).
  • Deep expertise in Workato or a comparable enterprise automation/integration platform.
  • Strong experience integrating with Workday using Workday Web Services (WWS).
  • Experience building Slack apps and automations using Slack's API and Bot SDK.
  • Proficiency with Git and GitLab for version control, code review, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS; experience with Docker and Kubernetes (GKE is a bonus).
  • Experience connecting HR systems including Workday, Greenhouse, and internal tools.
  • Comfort working with AI tools and MCP frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills and an engineering mindset applied to people systems.
