Staff Security Software Engineer, IAM

As a Staff Security Software Engineer on the Security Engineering team, you will define and drive the technical strategy for identity and access at Harvey, covering customer authentication and internal employee/contractor/non-human identity access. This is a hands-on role with primary leverage through technical direction and platform adoption.

• Define multi-year technical strategy for identity, authentication, authorization, and privileged access.
• Design and build complex identity systems from greenfield, owning them in production.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to right-size access at scale.
• Extend identity model to non-human and agentic identities.
• Serve as technical authority for identity and access architecture.

• 10+ years experience building and operating production software.
• Deep expertise in identity and access domains (authentication, federation, authorization, entitlement modeling, privileged access).
• Fluency with AI and AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience designing identity or authorization platforms used by other teams.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, GCP, AWS) and distributed systems.
• Nice to have: SCIM, OIDC, SAML, OPA/Cedar, Zanzibar, IGA/PAM, FedRAMP.

Salary: $220,000 - $330,000 USD per year, plus equity and bonus.
