Staff Software Engineer, Cluster Orchestration

Role: Staff Software Engineer on the Cluster Orchestration team, advancing CoreWeave's orchestration platform including SUNK (Slurm on Kubernetes) and Kubernetes-native foundation for AI workloads.

Responsibilities: Define architectural direction, own critical parts of the orchestration platform, drive cross-org initiatives in scheduling, quota enforcement, and scaling at hyperscale, mentor senior engineers, establish best practices in reliability and observability.

Qualifications: 8+ years software engineering, proven track record with large-scale distributed systems, deep expertise in Slurm/Kubernetes internals and cloud-native development, advanced proficiency in Go, experience setting technical direction. Preferred: familiarity with Ray, Kubeflow, Kueue, Istio, Knative, Argo Workflows, GPU-based applications, ML pipelines, scheduling concepts, reliability practices, AI infrastructure.

Compensation: Base salary range $185,000 - $275,000, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and comprehensive benefits.
