Role

As a Staff Systems Engineer, Enterprise Architect, you will own and evolve CoreWeave’s internal IT and SaaS ecosystem. This staff-level engineering role focuses on building scalable, secure, and well-governed platforms that enable the business to operate efficiently. You will act as a broad technical owner across core IT systems, including Google Workspace, Slack, domain infrastructure, Cloudflare, and other enterprise SaaS platforms, driving standardization, automation, and self-service.

Responsibilities

  • Own and operate CoreWeave’s core IT platform, including Google Workspace, Slack, Cloudflare, DNS/domain infrastructure, and other enterprise SaaS systems.
  • Design and maintain secure, scalable configurations across collaboration, communication, and edge/network-adjacent platforms.
  • Build internal self-service tools, automations, and workflows that reduce manual IT tasks.
  • Develop production-grade automation using APIs, scripting, workflow platforms, infrastructure-as-code, and AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Manage DNS, domain lifecycle, and email authentication (DKIM, SPF, DMARC).
  • Drive tooling rationalization and establish standards for system ownership, supportability, and lifecycle management.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code for IT systems using Terraform and internal frameworks.
  • Enhance observability, reliability, and operational health of IT systems.
  • Partner with Identity and Security teams to ensure proper access controls and policy enforcement.
  • Lead onboarding of new tools with a focus on standardization and automation.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point and participate in on-call as needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • 7–10+ years of experience in IT systems engineering, enterprise IT, platform engineering, or similar.
  • Proven experience as a broad IT generalist across SaaS platforms and core IT systems.
  • Strong hands-on development or automation experience.
  • Experience building self-service tools, portals, workflows, or internal applications.
  • Deep hands-on experience with several of: Google Workspace, Slack, DNS/domain management, Cloudflare, email authentication (DKIM, SPF, DMARC), AWS/GCP/Azure.
  • Full-stack automation mindset with Python, PowerShell, TypeScript, Go, or similar.
  • Experience integrating systems using APIs, webhooks, event-driven workflows, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Experience with Terraform.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity, automation, or workflow tools.
  • Strong understanding of system design, scalability, reliability, and operational best practices.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in high-growth or cloud-native environments.
  • Experience with identity tools such as Okta, Entra ID.
  • Experience with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, SOX, GDPR).
  • Experience with workflow automation tools (Workato, Tines, Zapier, ServiceNow Flow Designer).
  • Experience building AI-assisted workflows, chatbots, or intelligent automation.
  • Experience managing SaaS sprawl and governance.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $207,000 to $275,000. Total rewards include a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program.
