Twilio is expanding its High Tech Vertical and seeking an experienced Strategic Account Executive to manage and strategically expand relationships with High Tech customer accounts. The role involves driving the entire sales process from prospecting to deal closure, running consultative sales cycles, and mapping customer technical requirements to Twilio's communications API platform.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute account strategy to deliver strong revenue, gross margin, and gross profit results.
- Drive the entire sales process from prospecting to deal closure, including launch.
- Run highly consultative sales cycles with deep discovery and customer needs analysis.
- Map customer technical requirements to Twilio's communications API platform capabilities.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the customer organization, including developers, managers, and executives.
- Serve on a cross-functional account team with product, finance, partners, support, and services teams.
- Run a disciplined forecast, consistently achieve goals, and present guidance to executive management.
Qualifications
Required
- 8 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in major account or strategic sales.
- Track record of selling complex technical solutions.
- Familiarity with Twilio ecosystem tools: Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn SalesNav, ZoomInfo, Looker, Tableau, G-Suite, Gong.
- Accountable for relationship management, cross-sells, upsells, and solutions consulting.
- Comfortable working with business and highly technical leaders.
- Analytical account development strategy using data to find opportunities and prove value.
- Demonstrated success exceeding quota consistently.
- Track record of managing business forecasts and financial models.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with appetite to define processes and build programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication & presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience.
Desired
- Domain expertise from a highly quantitative industry such as DevOps, Fintech, advertising optimization, investment banking, security, or commodity trading.
- Software, SaaS, CPaaS, or PaaS selling experience.
- Deep experience working with telecom companies, including SMS aggregators, carriers, or global communications platforms.
- Experience selling API-based solutions.
Location
This role is remote in the US. Approximately 15% travel is anticipated.
Compensation & Benefits
Estimated pay ranges vary by location: $132,192 - $165,240 (Colorado, Hawaii, Minnesota, Vermont); $139,536 - $174,420 (Washington D.C., Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, California outside SF Bay Area); $146,880 - $183,600 (New York, New Jersey, Washington State, SF Bay Area). This role may be eligible for Twilio's equity plan and commissions. Benefits include health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, and paid parental leave.
