About the job
Datadog's Technical Solutions organization includes 1,200+ sales engineers, support engineers, post-sales experts, and solution architects. Technical Solutions Operations (TSO) owns the ecosystem of enterprise platforms and internal tools that support these teams. We manage the full lifecycle of systems like Zendesk, Jira, Confluence, and a growing portfolio of off-the-shelf and purpose-built tools.
We're looking for a Systems Engineer who wants to own enterprise platforms end-to-end, from understanding business processes to designing solutions (configuration, integration, or code) and measuring impact.
What You'll Do
- Own enterprise systems through their full lifecycle, being the technical owner for one or more platforms.
- Engineer solutions that create leverage, building and evolving enterprise systems, integrations, automations, and internal tools.
- Incorporate AI in initial design (e.g., intelligent routing, automated triage, agent-assisted workflows).
- Contribute to the Datadog codebase when needed, collaborating with Engineering teams.
- Use AI coding tools daily to ship faster and automate tedious tasks.
- Solve business problems by partnering with TS leaders to understand and fix workflow inefficiencies.
- Own what you ship, monitoring and iterating on systems in production.
Who You Are
- 3-5 years of experience with enterprise platforms and production software.
- Administered, extended, or integrated systems like Salesforce, Zendesk, Jira, or similar.
- Built software that real users depend on (web services, APIs, data pipelines, or applications).
- Strong in Python, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Ability to work across the stack: backend, frontend, API design, CI/CD.
- Demonstrated fluency with AI coding tools (Copilot, Claude, or similar).
- Experience building AI-powered features with LLMs, embeddings, RAG pipelines, or agent frameworks.
- Systems thinking and experience contributing to a large shared codebase with established engineering practices.
- Background in technical support tooling or customer-facing business systems.
- Experience in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment.
Benefits and Growth
Best-in-breed onboarding, generous global benefits, intra-departmental mentor and buddy program, new hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), continuous professional development, product training, and career pathing, inclusive company culture with Community Guilds and Inclusion Talks.
Compensation
The reasonably estimated yearly salary for this role is $86,000—$115,000 USD.
