Team Lead, Strategic Sourcing (IT, SaaS, Hardware)

Datadog is seeking a Team Lead for Strategic Sourcing to join the Procurement team, focusing on IT, SaaS, and hardware categories. This role leads strategic sourcing for enterprise SaaS and IT, owns software license strategy, leads the IT hardware procurement team, and transforms IT procurement from transactional to strategic.

• Lead strategic sourcing for enterprise SaaS and IT categories, including net-new purchases and complex renewals.
• Own software license and subscription strategy, right-sizing entitlements and minimizing shelfware.
• Lead the IT hardware procurement team for laptops, peripherals, networking, and office AV.
• Transform IT procurement from transactional to strategic, standardizing processes and establishing KPIs.
• Develop stakeholder relationships, negotiate pricing and terms, and partner cross-functionally.
• Create pricing models and manage a direct report.

• 5+ years of procurement experience with strategic sourcing and negotiated savings.
• Deep experience in IT hardware supply chain, including OEM/distributor management and global logistics.
• Experience at high-growth companies and with global initiatives.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills for executive audiences.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and build partnerships.
• Experience managing or mentoring procurement talent.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Experience with Zip, ChatGPT, and Claude, and adopting AI to build repeatable workflows.

The reasonably estimated yearly salary for this role is $116,000—$154,000 USD.
