Role Overview
We are hiring an Account Manager II to make Instacart Ads the place CPG advertisers and agencies trust to grow their business. This role sits at the intersection of client strategy and campaign performance, with a direct line of sight to advertiser growth and retention. The Account Manager will improve campaign performance, widen how brands invest across ad products, and shape the advertiser experience.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with CPG clients and agency partners, acting as a trusted advisor and understanding their business objectives.
- Use campaign data and marketplace insights to recommend investment and optimization approaches that measurably improve results, managing gap-to-goal across multiple business units.
- Drive advertiser growth by explaining products clearly, building persuasive narratives, and handling objections across stakeholders.
- Own recurring client conversations and quarterly business reviews, turning campaign data into clear stories of business impact and next steps.
- Resolve campaign and partner issues with limited guidance.
- Share advertiser pain points with internal teams to shape product enhancements and process improvements.
- Share best practices across the category and Advertiser Success teams, and lead projects that strengthen team-wide capabilities.
Qualifications
Minimum
- Bachelor's degree in business, advertising, commerce, digital marketing, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of experience in account management, digital advertising, paid media, ad operations, ecommerce, client services, or related field.
- Experience building and maintaining strong client relationships in an external-facing role.
- Experience analyzing campaign or business performance data and turning findings into clear recommendations and client-facing narratives.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to advertisers, agencies, and internal stakeholders.
Preferred
- Experience with Salesforce and Tableau; familiarity with Mode is a plus.
- Knowledge of paid search, display advertising, ad serving, consumer packaged goods, or ecommerce, and experience developing full-funnel media strategies.
- Experience managing business reviews, quota-related planning, upsell opportunities, or growth strategies across multiple business units.
- Strong attention to detail, creative problem solving, and experience influencing product or operational improvements.
Compensation & Benefits
This role is remote and includes a Sales Incentive Plan with a cash variable incentive target based on individual sales performance. The OTE range is $117,500—$148,000 USD. Base pay ranges vary by location: WA: $86,000—$106,500; OR, DE, ME, MA, MD, NH, RI, VT, DC, PA, VA, CO, TX, IL, HI: $83,000—$101,500; All other states: $75,000—$93,000; CA, NY, CT, NJ: $90,000—$111,000.
