Commercial Sales Director

Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies to deliver the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data. Fivetran automates data movement, and dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering.

As a Commercial Account Executive, you will be responsible for growing our customer base and setting the continued groundwork for sales at dbt Labs.

• Own the full sales cycle from lead to close for our prospects
• Organize POC implementations of dbt Cloud Enterprise
• Lead and contribute to team projects that develop our sales process
• Work with product to build and maintain the dbt Cloud enterprise roadmap
• Become an expert in SQL, dbt, and enterprise data operations
• Be an active member of the dbt open source community

• 2+ years closing experience in technology sales, with a proven track record of exceeding annual targets
• Ability to understand complex technical concepts and develop them into a consultative sale
• Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills
• The diligence and organizational skills to work long, intricate sales cycles
• Ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced work environment
• Experience with SQL or willingness to learn

• Prior experience in analytics, ETL, BI, and/or open-sourced software
• Knowledge of or prior experience with dbt

Base pay range: $90,000—$110,000 USD. On Target Earning: $180,000—$220,000 USD.
