Director, Engineering - Detection Platform

Datadog is seeking a Director, Engineering for its Detection Platform organization. This role leads a group of engineering managers and teams responsible for alerting infrastructure, event management, monitor creation experiences, and AI-powered detection systems. The director will define technical and organizational strategy, partner with Product, Applied Science, Design, and Engineering leaders, and scale highly available platform systems processing hundreds of millions of evaluations.

Candidates should have significant experience leading engineering organizations building large-scale platforms, infrastructure, observability, or monitoring products, experience leading leaders, and experience with machine learning or AI-enabled products.

The role is hybrid based in New York, NY. Compensation is $280,000—$350,000 USD. Benefits include equity, 401(k) match, healthcare, dental, mental health benefits, and fitness reimbursements.
