Anthropic is seeking an Engineering Manager, GRC to lead the team that builds the technical foundation for scaling risk and compliance programs. This greenfield role involves designing automated workflows, data pipelines, and integrations to transform manual compliance processes into scalable engineering systems.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the team that establishes foundational GRC processes and architecture.
- Design and build automated workflows for risk management and compliance.
- Build data pipelines that aggregate risk, control, and asset information from across the technology stack.
- Inform GRC platform strategy and implementation, translating policies into policy-as-code.
- Design and deploy agentic AI workflows using Claude to automate evidence analysis, monitor control effectiveness, and draft audit responses.
- Design and maintain integrations with cloud infrastructure, identity management, HRIS, ticketing, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Build and lead an AI-forward GRC engineering function, hiring team members and defining the technical roadmap.
Minimum qualifications
- Systems thinker with a focus on data integration and normalization.
- Understanding of APIs and integration patterns (REST APIs, webhooks, authentication flows).
- Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred qualifications
- 12+ years of total experience, with 3-4+ years managing technical teams.
- 5+ years designing and scaling automated workflows, data pipelines, or system integrations.
- Proficiency in Python or similar language for automation and data transformation.
- Experience with AI-powered automation, agentic workflows, or LLM-based tooling.
- Experience with GRC platforms such as ServiceNow GRC, Vanta, Drata, OneTrust, or RSA Archer.
Compensation
Annual salary: $320,000—$405,000 USD.
Logistics
Location-based hybrid policy: all staff expected in office at least 25% of the time. Visa sponsorship is available.
