IT Ops Engineer

Discord is seeking an IT Ops Engineer to support the employee technology surface, including devices, identity, network, SaaS, collaboration, and endpoint security. This is a growth role where you will work the shared IT support queue, support AV rooms and live events, run onboarding/offboarding, and take on projects with growing autonomy, including automating repetitive tasks. You will also participate in on-call rotations.

• Work the shared IT support queue alongside the team.
• Support device and endpoint setup (Jamf, Intune), identity and access (Okta), SaaS access, and endpoint security tooling.
• Keep conferencing and AV rooms reliable and support live events.
• Run onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Take on well-scoped projects and automate repetitive manual work.
• Participate in on-call rotations.

• Hands-on exposure across several parts of the employee technology surface; breadth matters more than depth.
• A genuine automation instinct, including using AI to write scripts and glue.
• Strong troubleshooting instincts and a habit of understanding the system.
• Collaborative, low-ego, secure-by-design posture, clear written communication, and eagerness to grow.
• 3+ years of experience providing IT Helpdesk support and exposure to managing backend IT systems (e.g., Okta, Jamf) in high-growth tech companies.

• Exposure to SOC 2 or SOX access-review processes.
• Background in high-growth consumer tech.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $124,000 to $155,000, plus equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

This role requires being in the office 3 days a week in the San Francisco Bay Area.
