About the job

Anthropic is hiring an IT Support Engineer to join the IT Operations team. The role involves supporting a mostly macOS environment, automating repetitive work, and improving employee experience. You'll handle support across hardware, software, networking, and accounts, and work closely with IT Engineering and Security.

Key responsibilities

  • Triage and resolve issues across hardware, software, networking, and accounts
  • Diagnose and fix issues across macOS, ChromeOS, iOS, Android, and core SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, Atlassian)
  • Troubleshoot device issues, including enrollment, configuration profiles, and policy enforcement
  • Support access management and employee lifecycle workflows
  • Handle escalations and join an on-call rotation
  • Provide hands-on support for user technology, AV systems, conference rooms, and printers
  • Write and maintain internal documentation
  • Spot patterns and flag automation opportunities
  • Contribute to automation efforts and write scripts (Bash, Python)

Minimum qualifications

  • Hands-on IT support experience
  • Experience supporting macOS endpoints, and comfortable with ChromeOS, iOS, and Android
  • Experience with Google Workspace administration
  • Experience with Slack administration
  • Understanding of identity and access fundamentals (SSO, MFA, directory services)
  • Familiarity with MDM fundamentals
  • Basic scripting (Bash or Python)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Clear communicator and ownership mindset

Preferred qualifications

  • Familiarity with zero-trust security concepts
  • Networking basics (DNS, DHCP, VPNs)
  • Experience with IT projects
  • Experience using AI tools
  • Interest in developing deeper technical skills

Compensation

Annual salary: £130,000—£175,000 GBP
