About the role

Twilio is seeking a Staff Product Designer (Channels UX) to join the Channels UX team. The role is remote within the US and open to candidates outside of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington D.C., and Washington State. The designer will focus on designing core communication products including Voice, Email, and SendGrid infrastructure, owning information architecture, naming frameworks, complex API configurations, and developer workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end channels UX strategy and define the strategic user experience vision.
  • Drive channel-agnostic coherence across Messaging, Voice, and Email.
  • Translate technical complexity into developer-friendly mental models.
  • Establish high-level strategic partnerships with product and engineering leaders.
  • Uphold craft excellence and scale design systems.
  • Define observability standards for high-density data visualizations.

Qualifications

Required: 8+ years of professional product design experience on technical software, expert-level systems thinking, executive cross-functional leadership, comfort with ambiguity, and an AI-powered UX mindset. Desired: experience designing for developers, advanced data visualization fluency, and communications industry expertise.

Compensation

Estimated pay ranges vary by location: $159,210-$176,900 for certain states, $168,570-$187,300 for others, and $187,200-$208,000 for the San Francisco Bay area. Eligible for equity and bonus plans.
