About the Role
Cloudflare, a connectivity cloud, is looking for a Litigation Counsel to join its team managing litigation matters worldwide. The role involves working with the internal legal team, external counsel, and stakeholders to handle ongoing lawsuits, respond to litigation threats, and assist in broader legal strategy across intellectual property, contracts, regulatory, and labor and employment issues, including intermediary liability.
Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement litigation strategies;
- Evaluate and respond to litigation threats in various jurisdictions;
- Select, onboard, and manage outside counsel;
- Develop Cloudflare's approach to intermediary liability, AI, and emerging legal issues;
- Respond to government regulators and private organizations;
- Communicate with business leaders and provide training on legal risks.
Qualifications
- Admitted to practice law in the US or the UK;
- 4+ years PQE in a law firm or in-house, preferably with technology companies;
- Experience litigating cases in one or more jurisdictions;
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills;
- Ability to manage complex projects and work autonomously.
Compensation
For Washington, D.C. based hires: estimated annual salary of $150,000 - $207,000. This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare's equity plan.
