Manager, Strategy and Business Operations

This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, balancing speed and rigor to resolve ambiguity and turn one-off wins into scalable systems. The Manager will partner with leaders across Growth, Language Learning, Monetization, and more to create clarity and alignment for Duolingo's top priorities.

• Develop actionable strategies with cross-functional leaders
• Sprint to assess opportunities and markets, including problem-space definition, hypothesis generation, industry research, execution, and iteration
• Lead with data, structure, and judgment: establish success metrics, build frameworks, and make trade-offs
• Partner cross-functionally with product, engineering, design, marketing, partnerships, data science, and finance
• Learn and grow rapidly in strategy work

• Analytical chops and logical thinking
• Strong people skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
• 3+ years of professional experience, ideally in strategy, business operations, consulting, product, or related field
• Excitement for Duolingo's mission

• Strong knowledge of consumer tech industry
• Experience with mobile apps and subscription-based services
• Experience with global/international teams
• Experience leading cross-functional projects in high-growth environments

Base salary range: $129,200—$174,800 USD, supplemented by equity compensation. Benefits are detailed on the company careers page.
