About the Role
Lyft Urban Solutions operates six bikeshare systems across the country, including Capital Bikeshare, the DMV's public bike share system. As the Operations Specialist, you will support the General Manager of Capital Bikeshare in developing and executing operational plans with a focus on service quality, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and customer experience. You'll handle hands-on problem solving and big-picture projects to improve the system.
Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth daily field operations: create/refine playbooks and SOPs, oversee contractor relationship management, and perform occasional quality checks in field and depot.
- Own end-to-end processes like invoicing and asset tracking.
- Audit performance of functional areas against SLAs, identifying and escalating risks and inefficiencies.
- Maintain relationships with city partners and address market-specific operational issues or special projects.
- Conduct deep-dive analysis to identify root causes of issues, using field operations and data insights to implement solutions and drive performance improvements.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders, clients, and vendors, handling challenging conversations.
- Manage shifting priorities effectively while maintaining a positive, solution-oriented attitude.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience overseeing operations in a complex, fast-moving environment (e.g., distribution warehouse, marketplace, or delivery operation).
- Experience using Google Sheets and other data analysis tools to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail with ability to understand bigger context.
- Proven track record of data-based problem-solving.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a warehouse or hands-on operations environment.
- Strong interest in biking, bikeshare, sustainable transportation, and city planning.
- Familiarity with AI tools to strengthen day-to-day productivity.
Compensation & Benefits
Expected base pay range for the Washington D.C. area is $66,240 - $82,800, not inclusive of potential equity, bonus, or benefits. Work Arrangement
This role is hybrid, with expectation to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Hybrid roles have flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.
