About Anthropic
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation focused on creating reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. The Global Safety, Intelligence, and Security (GSIS) organization is seeking a Physical Security Design Lead and Contract Document Specialist to join the Global Design Engineering Construction (DEC) team.
Role Overview
In this role, you will author and continuously enhance the contract document basis of design (BOD) and reusable design templates for physical security systems, serving as the technical authority for access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, intercommunications, radio, and network systems. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders and feed lessons learned back into design documentation using automations and AI-assisted workflows.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the contract document BOD, initiating content from site/risk assessments.
- Author and evolve design templates for physical security systems, including international/regional standards.
- Serve as contract-document subject matter expert, reviewing design consultant deliverables and driving coordination.
- Support bid, construction, and handover phases through specifications, RFI responses, and submittal reviews.
- Partner with GSIS, Real Estate/Workplace, Network Team, and consultants to capture operational needs and lessons learned.
- Maintain the GSIS design library under version control and provide status updates.
- Implement automations, AI-assisted workflows, BIM add-ins, and data-processing tools.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6+ years of design engineering experience with ownership of contract document development for physical security/low-voltage systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Core technical expertise in access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, intercommunications, radio, and network systems.
- Strong understanding of A/E deliverables (SD/DD/CD, RIBA), CSI-format specifications, and construction administration.
- Ability to develop internal tools (web applications, BIM add-ins, scripting/automation).
- Excellent communication skills and comfort in construction environments and global travel.
Strong candidates may have CDT, PSP, or CPP certification, familiarity with Revit API, BIM workflows, version control, and tools like Bluebeam, Revit/AutoCAD, Asana, Smartsheet, MS Project, Procore, PlanGrid, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
