Principal Product Designer

Chime is hiring a Principal Product Designer to lead the design vision for high-impact, member-facing experiences in consumer fintech. This high-ownership role for a senior design leader involves defining long-term product vision, executing polished and intuitive experiences, and partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Research, Marketing, and Analytics.

• Set the product and design vision for complex, cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment with member needs and business goals.
• Raise the bar for design execution, championing strong craft, thoughtful interaction design, and scalable visual systems.
• Apply AI-powered tools within the design process to accelerate ideation, exploration, and prototyping.
• Translate ambiguous product challenges into clear, elegant, and accessible design solutions.
• Provide design leadership and mentorship across teams without formal people management.

• A strategic, high-impact portfolio demonstrating strong product thinking, clear design strategy, and excellent craft.
• Track record of designing and shipping impactful consumer products at scale across mobile and web.
• Expertise in tools like Figma and modern prototyping workflows, including AI-powered design tools.
• Experience working with and evolving design systems to ensure consistency and scalability.

Compensation: Base salary from $222,000 to $290,000; full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits.
