We are seeking a Real Estate Strategic Planning Lead to join our Real Estate & Workplace Services (REWS) team, reporting to Global Real Estate Strategy & Transactions. This role will be responsible for portfolio planning, scenario planning, and portfolio optimization across Databricks' global real estate portfolio, supporting executive decision-making through strategic analysis, financial modeling, and business case support.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Finance and Real Estate Leadership to maintain REWS long-range portfolio plan
- Create and maintain flexible portfolio models and manage complex scenario planning initiatives
- Develop portfolio optimization recommendations aligned with business growth, financial objectives, and employee experience
- Conduct financial, operational, and portfolio analyses to support strategic real estate decision-making
- Support development of executive-ready business cases, presentations, and strategic recommendations
- Translate complex portfolio tradeoffs into clear, data-driven insights and actionable recommendations
- Develop and maintain recurring portfolio reporting, dashboards, and key performance metrics
- Conduct ad hoc analyses and decision support for high-priority REWS cross-functional initiatives
- Partner with Finance, Workplace, People, IT, and Real Estate stakeholders globally
- Help establish scalable planning frameworks, reporting standards, and governance processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in Real Estate, Finance, Strategy, Management Consulting, or related fields
- Excellent analytical skills including financial modeling, forecasting, portfolio analysis, and scenario planning
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple high-visibility projects simultaneously
- Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets, Excel, and presentation development
- Experience with planning and reporting tools such as Anaplan, Tableau, Databricks, or similar platforms preferred
Compensation
- Zone 1 Pay Range: $144,500—$198,650 USD
- Total compensation may include annual performance bonus and equity
